Seattle put on a great performance midweek at Philadelphia, where they triumphed 3-2. They had an impressive first half, which essentially led them to victory. They opened the scoring in the 13th minute and found a second goal in the 22nd minute of the match. They continued at the same pace to score a third goal in the 37th minute from a penalty kick. In the second half, they started more relaxed and conceded two quick goals in the 55th and 57th minutes but managed to hold onto their lead until the end.

They are looking to return to winning ways after three matches where they had two losses and one draw. They remain quite low in the standings and against the Galaxy, they want a result that will bring them to the top of the table and closer to the playoff positions.

The Los Angeles Galaxy did not perform well in their away match against Austin, which they lost 2-0. The start was a nightmare in the first half and they paid for it. They fell behind in the 7th minute and conceded a second goal in the 19th minute of the match to make it 2-0 against them. This turned out to be the final result as they failed to react and fight back.

After two consecutive wins, they failed to continue their success and stumbled at Austin’s home ground. They dropped to the 2nd position in the conference and are looking for a reaction against Seattle to stay at the top. Away from home, in the first six games, they have three wins and one draw.

Key midfielder Puig (10/3) is suspended, while the participation of top scorer Joveljic (9/6) is doubtful.
